JADA

JADA

This young girl is only 14 and she's already drop dead gorgeous.
She is just going to continue growing into a beautiful young woman and with her passion for modelling I hope she continues to share her beauty with many photographers throughout her life.

These images are just two from the shoot that I've been working on for the past little while. I do plan on finishing some more shots from the shoot in the future but I thought it was about time I gave the internet a little taste of JADA.

The photo shoot was on a very overcast day with the sun popping out to play from time to time. I had an assistant with a reflector trying to splash as much light she could onto the model and luckily we managed to make it work.

I used an overall warmth to add a feeling of summer and happiness to the images as I tried my best to steer away from using lens flares and back lighting effects (although in the second image I snook in just a tiny bit of magic).

Playing With Light

SUNLIGHT

A few days ago I was sitting outside with my family and decided to run in and grab my camera for a few shots of my baby cousins. I then saw the way the light was dancing within all the plants in the backyard and went on a bit of a shooting spree.

I haven't taken the time to just shoot for experimental purposes in a while..
There is something about the sun and it's rays that really draws me in, to the point where it's all I want to photograph. Lately I've been feeling like every photo I take has to be backlit by some sort of light source or it doesn't satisfy me in the way I need.

These photos are very lightly adjusted without any colour correct of special effects added at all. I love the way they turned out and they continue to inspire me with every glance I take.
So simple yet so moving.

VISITING DAD

VISITING DAD

I took these photos about month ago, and have had them pretty much finished for about two weeks and I'm just getting around to posting this entry now.. Better late then never I guess. I'm just glad I'm pleased with the way these turned out!

Me & Dave had an enjoyable weekend visiting with my Dad and family, just like always. I wish it wasn't such a drive for only a 2 night stay, or we would definitely visit more often. I don't know when the last time we had a picture together was, but I hope the next time I will have a better smile on my face. Still I liked this picture too much to pass up!

I tried keeping the post coloring to a minimum, just added a tiny bit of hue to make the water more blue. I love how crisp these images turned out, some of them more than others and all these ones 100% more than the rest I shot that day. I loved the anticipation of capturing a stable image while the boat was bouncing wildly over the waves!
